Supporting Cayman Youth

Our young people are on a quest of achieving their full potential and during this time they are responsible for their internal assets. As parents, youth professionals, organizations and the business community we are here to support our young people on this quest by creating the environment where they can grow and develop. Whilst nurturing their internal qualities we are responsible for their external assets.

Building the assets of young people, decreases their susceptibility to risks such as drugs, violence etc. We are therefore determined to support our young people to build their assets, make the right choices and become resilient.

The Cayman Islands Youth Development Consortium is a non-government, non-profit organization, founded specifically to promote positive youth development which further developed to provide positive alternatives to help young people maximize their full potential.

Supporting Cayman Youth Campaign is an outreach project of the Cayman Islands Youth Development Consortium, being coordinated by Caribbean Youth Assets, the intention of this website is to promote positive youth development and mobilize the people of the Cayman Islands towards supporting our young people, utilizing the asset-building framework.

Endorsed by the premier of the Cayman Islands, this campaign is planned to be a national celebration of partnerships and opportunities, to promote the critical importance of these opportunities for the success of our young people. Included in this endorsement is the proclamation to observe January as Support Our Youth Month.
